All Grades will be Cut off for Term 1 on Nov. 5th

All grades for Mrs. Johnston's Homeroom will be cut off in two weeks Friday, Nov. 5th at 2:55PM. All Missing work, Extra Credit, Spelling Test retakes are to be finished before this time. Please schedule a time for the test prior to taking it. Please study before you say you need to take the test. This should improve your grade not waste both of our time. You may do any work from the Internet in any subject area and improve that subject area.

Soc. St.:

• State Mini report

Science:

• Write ten facts you have learned about a certain science topic.

Writing

• Write another story
• Write your own poem

Math:

• 2digit to 2 digit multiplication
• 4 digit divided by 1 or two digit Division
• Subtraction 1,000, 2,000 or 3,000 subtract three digit numbers with any numbers larger than zeros.

Spelling

• Study and retake a test they are 100 points

Extra Credit is not something I hand you. You must work to find it! I gave all of your work at least a week in advance of the due dates. I have given you homework calendars that have the same due dates on them each week . The routines are clearly marked and required turn in time is always 9AM. You are visually and verbally reminded each day. Our planners are written in and organized assignments under the tabs in your notebook should stay there until you are finished with them and ready to turn them in for a grade. The turn in boxes are well marked. If you have earned 50% on a late assignment then you have not followed through on all of these prescribed organizational guides. You can now go out of your way to help yourself improve.

Good luck! You can do it if you try! You are in charge of your grades and the outcome. It is not your teacher' or your parents' fault. You have this job as a student. Do it well. Remember the deadline for all extra credit is Nov. 5th at 2:55PM
